If you thought that things in the area around school were getting spooky on Sunday evening, you may well have come across many families taking part in the EPTFA Halloween Trail. The children had to follow a trail, collect letters carved into pumpkins and be lead back to the "Prize Coffin" - full of treats of course! Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers from EPTFA who put this event together.

We are so glad that our values of Kindness, Positivity & Respect stick with our pupils long after they have left us. Ruben came back to ask for our help to raise money for the British Heart Foundation as his friend was having to have a stay in hospital following some problems he was having with his heart - what a lovely gesture Ruben - we are very proud of you! Please do take a look at his Just Giving page for more details about what Ruben is up to.

An amazing atmosphere and some brilliant dancing on show at the Crucible Theatre. This half term, all our Y4 children have been involved in a unit of dance, delivered by specialist teachers from Points Network and this festival gave them the chance to share their learning with other children and adults. They really did perform with such confidence and energy and with huge smiles on their faces too - well done everyone!

Yum, Yum...Y3 designed, made and evaluated their delicious sandwiches as part of their "Eat Happy" Science topic and brought in cutting skills from the DT curriculum. There were some interesting combinations selected and plenty of fresh, healthy salads included in their fillings. Well done Y3!

We were delighted to welcome Dr Mike Thelwell from the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University. He came in to talk to Y5 & Y6 about his work as a scientist developing measuring tools to help progress understanding of wellness. He was also hoping to attract some children from Y6 and EYFS to help him out and to be involved in developing a new app designed to replace the traditional tools used to measure height and weight. If you would like to be involved, please look out the letter in the weekly bundle or speak to Mr Willatt.
