We are proud to be part of the Eco-Schools programme. Eco-Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life.
We have an Ecclesall Primary School Eco-Team, who make sure that our school is as Eco-friendly as possible. The Eco-Team make sure we remember to turn off lights when leaving a room and recycle as much as possible – we currently recycle paper, batteries and old ink cartridges.
We dedicate part of our school curriculum to raising Eco awareness and like to make full use of our Wildlife Garden and Allotment. As well as lesson time, Mrs Cartwright runs an after-school Growing Club where the children use Eco-Friendly methods to raise their crop!
We are also proud to announce that we achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag award! Thanks to the Eco-Team for all their hard work – Well done!
